I had just started directing at the North Carolina public television network in the early 80‘s when my boss said, “There's a traveling exhibit of art by Vietnam veterans. You’re a Vietnam vet. Go see what it’s all about.” It was about a lot, and the physical art was just the tip of the iceberg.
Vietnam: Reflexes and Reflections was recognized by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for excellence in local programming. More important, the show’s underlying theme of combat veterans coming to terms with their difficult experience resonates in today’s world as much as it did thirty years ago.
